Warning Labels Not Been Pasteurized
These warning labels are made to alert that there has not been any pasteurization. They say “WARNING: This product has not been pasteurized and therefore may contain harmful bacteria that can cause serious illness in children, the elderly, and persons with weakened immune systems.” You are able to place one of these on food packaging and boxes meant for in grocery stores and other food service locations. The print is made of eco-friendly water-based ink and are in the size of 0.75″ x 1.5″. They have rounded corners to make them easy to peel from roll and hand apply. The stickers are made of a semi-gloss paper and have a standard permanent adhesive, which also makes them freezer temp safe. This would mean that they hold up well in extremely cold temps.

Why Pasteurization is Important
It is extremely important to read the labels of any food product you purchase to ensure it has been pasteurized. Pasteurization is a process that eliminates certain harmful bacteria, viruses, and other microorganisms, which can be present in food and beverage products. By purchasing only pasteurized products, you can help protect yourself and your family from potential food-borne illnesses. If you are unsure if a product has been pasteurized, please contact the manufacturer for more information.
Interesting Facts about Pasteurization
- Pasteurization is a process that uses heat to kill bacteria and other microorganisms in liquids such as milk and juice. This process was developed by Louis Pasteur in the 1800s as a way to prevent spoilage of beverages.
- Pasteurization does not necessarily kill all bacteria in a product; it just reduces the amount of bacteria present to safe levels.
- Pasteurized milk and other products are considered to be safer than unpasteurized products, since they can contain dangerous bacteria such as E. coli, Salmonella and Listeria.
- Pasteurization does not affect the nutritional value of milk or other products; it just kills potentially harmful bacteria.
- Pasteurization is also used to sterilize medical equipment and food products and is sometimes used to prepare foods for canning.
- Pasteurized milk can be stored for up to two weeks without spoiling, while unpasteurized milk can only last for a few days.
