How to Be The Best Mover with Our Moving Labels

Moving is terrible! You have to pack up all your belongings and make sure they are secure for shipping. Everything gets lost, discombobulated, and switched around. But don’t worry, there are steps to make the best of moving! Check out below to see some of the best techniques on how to pack up your stuff and have fun while doing it!

1. Clean, Clean, Clean!

There is no reason to bring all the junk you don’t want into your new home! By doing a deep clean before you pack a single box, you can make sure to clear out the unnecessary clutter and save your new place the trouble of starting messy. Cleaning is notorious for being one of the least fun activities, but there are still ways to have fun while cleaning! Try beating the clock, involving your kids or partner, listening to a podcast, or starting an all-out singing contest! Or, combine two chores at once and work out while cleaning, need to pick something up? Squat (Use your legs, not your back!) Moving something? Crunch it a few times! When you’re finished with your cleaning, you’ll also have had a full-body workout. Talk about multi-tasking! 2. Pack Your Valuables

If you pack all your valuables first, that’s one less thing to worry about when it comes to getting everything you own into boxes. A great tip is to use your clothes and linens as a packing cushion instead of buying bubble wrap. It is great for the environment, and it means you’ll eventually have to use fewer boxes as you already will have some of your clothing packed!

3. Get Enough Boxes, Pack the Rest

It would be horrible to have almost everything packed and realize that you don’t have enough boxes! You then have to get out of the packing mode and drive to the store for more boxes. Check out the advice of the the Pros when it comes to how many boxes are typically needed for both your size house and your lifestyle! When you pack, make sure to keep your most important items with you. That includes anything you’ll need between when you are at your old home and when you get to your new home. Are you doing a big cross-country trip? Make sure not to pack your toothbrush!

4. Labels!

Labeling is quite possibly the most fun part of the entire process! Before you close each box make sure to check what is inside them. Then, label! At instocklabels.com we have some of the best moving packs. Make sure to label each box on multiple sides. You won’t have to scour the box to find what you put in it! It will keep your life so much more organized, especially when it comes to unpacking on the other side. After you get to your new place the last thing you want is to be a mess unpacking. Keep your new home clean and tidy from the start!
