If you have a consignment clothing store or thrift store be sure to use this idea for providing discounts to your customers.

How it works:

Create a small sign towards the front of the store that says something like "Look for the colored dots and save money".  Place 4 different colored dot labels on the sign and next to each color dot write the discount price.

Example:

: $.25 off

: $.50 off

: $.75 off

: $1.00 off

Then place the color dot on the price tag.  The color code stickers have permanent adhesive so you don't have to worry about customers removing and switching stickers.  When the customer checks out you simply remove the price bar code sticker or hang tag from the garment.

Customers love discounts of any kind.  This will motivate customers to really search for deals.  Kind of like "hunting for the best bargain".

Another idea is to separate men's from women's specials.  For example you might have a pink color dot for women's clothes and a blue one for men's.  If a customer finds a pink sticker then that means they get a certain discount.  You would be amazed of how people love this.  It is like playing a game and people love to search for deals no matter if it is .25 cents or $100.00 off.  If you tell me that I can save anything then that's a deal!

Size stickers are a great way to provide clothing stores with an effective organizing visual tool.  Most customers look for the sizes right away as they are flipping through clothing.  This is both for apparel that is hung up or folded.  Most smaller clothing stores will use hang tags to show sizes.  Rather than use hang tags where the customer has to locate it, pull it up and search for the size, just place a round clear dot on the shoulder or the sleeve of shirts.  You can get 500 clear size stickers for $2.95.  This is a very inexpensive way to make your resell store feel like a larger department store.  It helps with better sales and also organization so that clothes are not falling off of hangers due to so many searching for hang tags etc.
